New for 2022 is this 21 count bag of glass “Oceanic” marbles that comes with 20 Player marbles measuring 16mm or 5/8th inches and 1 Shooter marble that measures 25mm or 1 inch in diameter. Made by Vacor, these are the House of Marbles versions of a variety of marbles from Mega Marbles. This assortment includes a lovely mix of marbles that reflect the colors of the ocean such as Tiger Shark, Pearly, Snowflake, Blue Jay, Vapour, and Arctic. Some of the marbles have a clear base with elegant swirls within, some are iridescent, some are white or transparent dark blue with colored swirls and patches on their surface, and the Snowflake marble has sprinkles of ultra-small particles of ground-up glass, called frit, all over its textured surface. Playing with the frit covered marbles can cause tiny bits of the frit to shed and fall off, much like glitter does. We recommend those marbles more as collectibles, but they will surely create a conversation whenever they are used or placed on display! Great for use in Decorating, Art Work, Games, Crafts, Jewelry, Yard Art or Collecting. This set of marbles is great fun for kids to collect, swap, and play.
Marbles are a traditional children’s game that have been a favorite for generations. The origins of this game have been traced back to Pakistan, Rome and Ancient Egypt. There are a variety of different games that can be played with Marbles and even new ones are made up on the spot.
Images are representative of selection. Each marble is a unique glass orb. No two marbles are exactly alike. Please be aware that marbles are very difficult to photograph and due to differences in personal settings on computers and hand held devices the colors you see may vary slightly from the color you receive. Lighting such as flash photography can greatly effect the look of a marble as can holding the marble under different types of lighting can make the color look slightly different. We do our absolute best to represent our marbles accurately and true to color, but even the best photography will not display as 100% perfect. The white spots on these marbles are light reflections, not damage or error spots.
