Radiation Can Demonstration Set

With this demonstration set, students will be able to learn how two identically-sized objects, in this case metal cans, are able to absorb and radiate energy at different rates. Both cans are metal screw cap cans, one being smooth and unpainted while the other has been painted a dull black. When filled, the liquid (typically water) in the two cans will heat or cool at different rates, because of the thermal radiation they emit.

This kit includes a lamp assembly with reflector and stand (the bulb is not included), a thermometer, and two cans (one unpainted, the other painted black).
