Description

Levitating Antigravity Globe – 3.25″ Diameter - Demonstrates Magnetism and Electricity

Teacher’s Edition with Guide

The Levitating Antigravity Globe introduces students to attracting and repelling magnetic forces, electromagnets and the concept of equilibrium. Once plugged in, the device uses electromagnetism to push the globe up while gravity pulls it down thus allowing the globe to levitate in mid-air. Students will observe the difference between electromagnets and permanent magnets and will learn which science laws are in play to create the equilibrium. Students can perform other experiments as the magnet can be removed from the globe and used to suspend small objects in the air.

A light on each corner of the base helps to illuminate the globe or any other object placed above it. The square base measures 4″ x 4″ and is made of clear acrylic enabling students to see all the components involved in the levitating process. The globe measures approximately 10.75″ in circumference and 3.25″ in diameter.

Included with this Levitating Globe is a small teacher’s guide that includes supplemental information and thought provoking questions for student enrichment.
