Odorless, Sulfuric acid is typically a clear and colorless liquid, though it is sometimes dyed a dark brown to warn of its hazardous properties. It is a highly corrosive mineral acid, that is highly soluble in water. In its concentrated form of 18M, it also features strong dehydrating and oxidizing properties. Historically, it was referred to as oil of vitriol.
