5000mL Bomex Borosilicate Glass Separatory Funnel

This is a 5000mL (5L) conical pear shaped separatory funnel, made of Bomex brand heat resistant borosilicate glass. It features a ground glass stopper at the top, and a PTFE Stopcock. Unlike traditional glass stopcocks, those made from PTFE are not nearly as prone to freezing or seizing up within the stem of the separatory funnel. Additionally, they do not require any expensive lubricants, which greatly reduces the risk of contaminating the liquids being run through the funnel. An adjustable plastic nut on one side of the stopcock allows for adjustments of how easily the stopcock rotates.

Our 5000mL separatory funnel is pictured with a 6″x11″ heavy steel base & 36″ zinc-plated steel rod (USCI-SSB6X1-H2), and a 6″ cast iron support ring (RIN099). A 7″ cast iron support ring (RIN098) will also fit this separatory funnel.
