Voltaic Cell

  A handy, compact set for the popular chemistry topic of voltaic cells, this set includes a clear plastic molded tank with a carrying handle, a removable spill tray, and slots for up to eight electrodes. Each electrode has a binding post attached to it, and can be used with either patch cords or insulated wire. The cell allows for students to explore the voltages generated in different electrolytes by various electrode pairings, and can also be used to create electroplating experiments. With its clear tank, activity along the electrodes, such as gas evolution, can easily be seen.

   The voltaic cell comes with six electrodes: 2 copper, 2 zinc and 2 aluminum.
