Monocotyledon Stem Model – Plant Anatomy

Patterned after a corn stem, this monocot model shows the general anatomy of a monocot stem in both the longitudinal and cross-sectional cuts. It features a number of different sections, including the cuticle and epidermis, closed vascular bundles, parenchyma cells, and others. The model comes complete with a detailed key to help students identify the different areas and sections of the monocot stem.

It has been created using injection molding, which makes it more durable than the more common fiberglass construction. The model measures approximately 17.5×17.5×6.5 inches.
