Aragonite is one of the 3 most common naturally occuring crystal forms of composed of calcium carbonate (the other two being calcite and vaterite). Aragonite can be formed biologically by sea life or physically by heat and pressure. Aragonite is an important mineral for aquaria and has shown to reduce pollutants such as zinc, cobalt, and lead from contaminated wastewaters.

This beautiful crystal specimen comes inside a small wooden treasure chest. This small chest, is secured shut with a hinge clasp and measures 4.25 inches in length, 3 inches wide, and 2 inches tall. Mineral specimen will measure at least 1 inch in length.
