12″ Polypropylene Stirring Rods – Pack of 12

With an overall length of 12 inches and a diameter of 0.28″ (7mm), this stirring rod has been crafted from the thermoplastic polymer known as polypropylene. Both ends of the stir rod have been rounded off, and can be fitted with a rubber policeman.

Unlike its glass and rubber counterparts, polypropylene is extremely rugged, and features an unusually high resistance to chemical solvents (including most organic solvents), bases, and acids. It is also fully autoclavable, though you will want to research what settings are appropriate for polypropylene.
