17cm Color-In Earth Paper Globe Kit

This color-in globe comes flat with 19 pieces so you can fold and assemble. Included are colored pencils so you can get creative and make the world your own. Pass a length of string through the gap in the globe and it can be hung from the ceiling, another way to enjoy the globe.

How Does It Work?
There are many different ways the earth can be illustrated known as Map Projections. When you look at a world map that is flat, the map is actually distorted so what is originally round, can be shown in a rectangle. An interrupted map that is broken up into gores has segments on a curved surface so there is little distortion and when you put all the pieces together they create a globe. This globe combines the gore pieces with the art of Kusudama (Japanese paper ball folding) to create a sealed world globe.
