The 250mL Combination 6-Place Heating Mantle by United Scientific is ideal for repetitive extracting, refluxing, and distillation applications. It is designed for use with 250mL round bottom flasks, evenly distributing heat throughout operation across 6 separate stations for maximum safety and convenience.

Each unit includes 1 each stainless horizontal rod, 2 each stainless vertical rods, and 6 each rod connecting clamps and extension clamps for holding glassware. 6-place unit measures 38.25″L x 7″W x 6.5″H.

The mantle is designed to securely hold the flasks, with the top half of each flask easily visible during operation. Heats up quickly with no flame, for improved energy efficiency and safety with less destructiveness on glass apparatus. Heating for each station is independently controlled by 6 separate knobs.

The mantles feature polyurethane coated aluminum exterior and high quality knitted mantles with glass fiber underlay for uniform distribution of heat. Maximum operating temperature is 400°C. Mantles can be used in a wide range of ambient temperatures, from about 45°F to 100°F, and relative humidity up to 80%. The units are not waterproof, and are rated as IP code 10 equipment.

There is no need for a separate external power control unit, as the power (from 0 – 100%) for each station is controlled by 6 separate knobs that are built into the unit. Elements can be replaced easily. An outlet tube is built-in for draining any spilled liquids. A 4-foot long 3-wire grounded cord is included. Each unit features a fuse that can be easily replaced.

Units are designed for long-term use. To maximize service life, care should be taken to avoid chemical spillage, overheating, overloading, and general misuse.
