3000mL Polypropylene Pitcher Beaker – Short Form

This short form pitcher beaker has an graduated capacity of 3000mL, with an outside diameter of approximately 170mm, or 17.0cm, and a height of 188mm (18.8cm). The graduations go from 100mL to 3000mL, and are numbered every 200mL. The pitcher beaker differs from a Griffin, Berzelius, or Euro style beaker, in that it has a handle, and a much wider, deeper spout, making it easier to pour out the contents.

Molded from a single piece of polypropylene, these plastic beakers feature raised graduations for easy readability. This also ensures that, unlike painted on graduations, they aren’t susceptible to fading or paint rubbing off. They are fully autoclavable, and have excellent contact clarity. The round broad round base at the bottom of the cylinders provides good stability.

Similar to polyethylene, polypropylene features an additional methyl group that adds improved mechanical and thermal resistance. At room temperature, it is resistant to fats and almost all organic solvents, save for strong oxidizers. It can also handle non-oxidizing acids and bases with relative ease. Max usage temperature is 135 degrees Celsius.
