750ml Premium Mortar and Pestle, Deep Form

Made of premium, high quality, durable porcelain, the mortar’s base is flat and unglazed to give it stability and keep it from sliding across the working surface. The sides, pouring spout and the rounded edge have all been glazed, allowing it to be turned easily in one’s hands, and for its contents to be poured out smoothly. Its rough, unglazed interior allows it to work together with the pestle, providing an uneven surface against which to grind.

The pestle is also made of porcelain and is almost completely glazed. The slightly rounded, flared head of the pestle remains unglazed, allowing it to get purchase on any material in the mortar, and work in tandem to grind the contents down.

It is perfect for grinding spices, herbs, medicines and powders that may require a finer grain.

The pestle is approximately 225mm (22.5cm) in length.
