Fabricated from clear acrylic plastic, refraction cells are an excellent way to not only show refraction and the internal reflection of water, but to also measure its refractive index. The uniform thickness of the cell walls helps to eliminate any unwanted distortions when a beam of light is passed through the refraction cell.
