Biology Investigation: Enzyme Activity

  Through this kit, stundents will learn the nature and specificity of enzyme-catalyzed reactions. They will then use an extraction from turnips to examine the reaction between hydrogen peroxide and the enzym peroxidates, while testing one ore more factors that can influence the rate of enzyme reactions. The students will develop data collection strategies, and analyze their results.

   This kit meets AP Science Practices 4,5,6, and 7, as well as Big Idea 4. It contains enough materials for 8 groups, and a teachers manual and student study guide copymasters are included.
