This listing is for a packet of 10 Magnetic Field Viewing Film Cards.

Magnetic field viewing film is made of millions of tiny magnetic flakes suspended in clear oil.  This oil is then laminated between two sheets of clear plastic along with an instruction/ information card.  They are often used for demonstrating and mapping magnetic fields.  The magnetic viewing film can be used to “see” the pattern of magnetization.  When a magnet is placed under the viewing film the tiny metal flakes respond to the magnetic field, forming shapes similar to the pattern of magnetization.  The white line(s) show the separation between the north and south poles of the magnet.  Try your magnetic field viewing film on different magnets and see what you can discover about magnets.
