Fossils alone are quite exciting, and vary in size from microscopic single-cell bacteria all the way up to trees and dinosaurs meters long. This poster captures eight images of fossils through the microscope, giving a good close-up view of some of the smaller details. The eight fossils depicted on the poster are algae, a trilobite, coral, a crinoid, an echinoid, a leaf on shale, ammonite, a fish, and some insects that have been trapped in amber. Not every fossil of the same type is going to be exactly the same, just like there is a lot of variation in everything in life.
