Lycopodium powder is a yellow-tan dust-like powder, that is composed of the dried out spores of the genus of clubmosses. It has uses in experiments for both chemistry and physics, and is an excellent way to demonstrate Brownian motion, and for making sound waves in the air visible. It is also highly hydrophobic.
