Petrified Wood Rough Specimen 1 -2 InchesÂ
Information Card Included
The word petrified means “turned to stone”. Â In certain areas of the world, dry and barren deserts now cover what was once lush with green plants & forests. For some reason the forest died and the trees fell to the ground. There silica and other mineral-bearing solutions infiltrated the wood and slowly impregnated it with stone. Â The stone took on the shape and color of the wood from the trees. It is a Fossilized Tree.
