This Griffin-style plastic beaker has a graduated capacity of 500mL, with raised graduations for easy readability and pour spout. Plastic beakers molded in polypropylene have excellent clarity and chemical resistance and are autoclavable. Outer diameter is 100mm, height is 120mm.

Molded from a single piece of polypropylene, these plastic beakers feature raised graduations in 10ml increments that, unlike painted-on graduations, aren’t susceptible to fading or paint rubbing off. The broad round base at the bottom of the cylinders provides good stability. Griffin Style beakers nest without sticking together.

Similar to polyethylene, polypropylene features an additional methyl group that adds improved mechanical and thermal resistance. At room temperature, it is resistant to fats and almost all organic solvents, save for strong oxidizers. It can also handle non-oxidizing acids and bases with relative ease. Max usage temperature is 135 degrees Celsius.
