10 in stock
Fool’s Gold, also known as Iron Pyrite, is shiny and breakable. Since this rock was often confused with real gold, it began to be called “Fool’s Gold.” Pyrite is often found crystallized in striated, four-sided cubes. However, pyrite is also found in 12-sided crystal structures called pyritohedrons. They are called pyritohedrons, becauses they are most often associated with pyrite. Sometimes pyrite crystals are often found having a combination of different structures.
This listing is for one first quality, rough, unpolished Pyritohedronal Pyrite mineral specimen measuring approximately 1.5 to 2 inches in length. Picture is representation of the specimen you will receive. Each rock is unique and will vary in shape, size and appearance. No two rocks will be exactly alike.
