Beakers are a staple piece of equipment for every laboratory. One of the biggest problems is that they can take up a lot of space. While nesting the smaller ones inside the larger is an option, this can be difficult with glass beakers, as some of the various sizes fit quite snugly inside one another and will sometimes lock in place, resulting in at least one broken beaker when you try to extract the one that has become stuck.

Over the past decade or so, plasticware, particularly polypropylene, has become quite popular particularly in the educational lab setting. While it can’t take the direct heat of something like a bunsen burner, these plastic beakers are capable of withstanding up to 250°F in a standard autoclave, and are highly resistant to chemical corrosion. Combine that with their relatively low cost and being virtually unbreakable, and you have a very effective piece of standard laboratory equipment.

This set features 30, 50, 100, 150, 250, 400, 600 and 1000ml beakers that have been specially designed to be able to stack or nest within each other. Each beaker has a pouring spout and is graduated in milliliters, with the 30-600ml beakers featuring dual-scale measurements in milliliters and fluid ounces.
