Cells are some of the most interesting things in the world. There are a number of different kinds, each one of them doing something different from the next. Some of them form functional organs within the human body, like the heart or lungs, while other cells form our bones and layers of skin. Plants and other organisms have their own cells, which also perform different functions.

This poster gives you a brief overview of some of the different kinds of cells that are present in the world around us, and gives a brief explanation of what their purpose is. Each description and cell type is accompanied by a picture that has been taken of that particular cell on a stained microscope slide.
