Sight is our most dominant sense, and we have a hard time trying to imagine what it would be like to not have it. Because we rely so much on our eyes, we are often unaware of the number of limitations it really has, and how easily it can be tricked.

The illusion bank in this classroom kit is a teaser in the world of visual illusions. Magicians perform this trick on a large scale, by hiding a rabbit (or some other object) in a box. Things get a little more complicated from there as your students explore some of the more common visual illusions.

With enough material to create up to 24 magic banks, this kit also includes a teacher’s guide that takes you through topics such as light reflection, Snell’s law, and both visual and depth perception. Instructions for putting together the illusion banks are also included.
