This kit is designed for high school students to learn the principals and applications of electromagnets. 
 
Includes:
  • Two Coils on Plastic Spools
  • U-shape Iron Core
  • Straight Iron Core
  • Two Magnetic Compasses w/ Stands
  • Pair of Wires
 
Students can build a bar-shaped and a U-shaped electromagnet which they power with a 6 volt battery (NOT included) or DC power supply (NOT included), to determine the magnitude and polarity of electromagnetic forces.  An instruction manual and a plastic storage case are included with this kit.
