This Bell Jar is made of a heavy duty glass and is ideal for studying the properties of matter under a vacuum or for isolating experiments from outside interference.  Also great for displaying items from your collection.

This type of bell jar has been used for over 75 years in educational and industrial applications.  They are hand blown into molds right  here in the USA.  They measure almost .5 inch thick.  All contact surfaces (including port hole) are ground to insure a tight seal.  A #4 Rubber Stopper is available separately to fit the hole snugly.

Slight imperfections may appear in the glass such as tiny air bubbles or web marks.  These in no way affect the performance of the bell jar under vacuum applications.  All bell jars are quality tested before they leave the manufacturer.
