Pink botswana agate is a distinctly banded chalcedony variety of quartz that is usually seen in shades of pink and gray. The banding is usually much more fine than the more common agate which makes the botswana agate unique and popular among collectors. Botswana agate is named after the country of Southern Africa where it is mined.
