A histological stain, Wright’s stain help to differentiate between types of blood cells. It is a dark blue liquid, and gives off an alcoholic odor.

0.174% Wright’s stain (methylene blue-eosin blend at proprietary percentages), 4.99% glycerin, and the balance is methanol. It is not buffered.
