5000ml Flat Bottom Boiling Flask
 
This is a 5000ml Bomex brand, flat bottomed boiling flask.  Bomex glass flasks are designed to give the best combination of thermal shock resistance, physical strength and resistance to chemical attack.  Also called “Florence Flasks,” they are nice to use because they heat more evenly than a beaker or Erlenmeyer flask.  They are made of borosilicate (heat resistant) glass, have tooled mouths, a flat bottom and long necks.  Uses a size 9 Rubber stopper, which is not included in this listing and must be purchased separately.
