 Polished Spark Rocks in Velveteen Pouch – 2 Sets

Each colorful velveteen pouch contains 2 pretty polished Spark Rocks and an information card.  

You Receive 4 Rocks, 2 Pouches and 2 Info Cards

Spark Rocks are pieces of quartz that have been tumbled until they are smooth and polished.  When you strike the 2 pieces together, the internal electrons become charged and create sparks of light within the stones.  This ability to create electric sparks is called “turbo-luminescence”. 

• Each pretty Polished Stone is Approximately 1.25 Inches Long.
• Each  Colorful Velveteen Drawstring Pouch Measures Approximately  3 x 2.25 Inches (Colors Vary: Red, Blue, Yellow, Purple OR Green)
• Each Information Card Measures Approximately  1.75 x 2.5 Inches and is folded in half.

Instructions:

In a darkened room, hold one piece of quartz firmly in each hand.  Hold one piece still while you quickly strike the other piece of quartz.  Do this repeatedly to charge the stones.  Once the stones are charged, continue striking them together to see the sparks inside the stones.  To more easily see the sparks, do this activity in a very dark room.
